"There Will Come Soft Rains". Tears of the Kingdom lower leg wrap for RJ. Ganondorf is fresh, as well as some touchups on the sky panel on the shin, the rest is healed, ranging between a month and 3-4 months.

I think it's only fitting that a Tears of the Kingdom project like this one is on par with an average run of the game. All that to say, RJ and I spent a solid 70-80ish hours getting this piece finished.

What can I say at this point except that RJ got in touch with me when I was still really new working in Philly and gifted me with a project that I could really get excited and ambitious about. I poured all I had into this one, and I hope it shows.

We left Ganny for last, I wanted the game's final boss to be ours too (although in reality we went back to the very beginning to smooth out areas in the sky panel, still poetic).

To RJ, they have been nothing less than a joy to tattoo and hang with. I appreciate all the talks we had about DnD, anime (especially One Piece, soon my friend), and all the other nerdy stuff we chattered on about while I chipped away at those Zonai ruins. I appreciate your trust in a such monumental project and massive undertaking. Thank you so much for the opportunity, my dude.

H o l l o w K n i g h t.

Thank you John for trusting me with this project. I had a wonderful time re-exploring Hollow Knight while I prepped the design; it felt necessary to immerse myself in its atmosphere again to really try to capture it in the tattoo.

John's concept for the project was to depict a moment of peace in Hallownest amidst a dangerous world full of enemies and challenges. To have the Knight taking a break on a bench, a brief respite before they resume their journey, was such a fun idea and I really wanted to portray that vibe through the colors as much as the subjects.

For those in the know, there's a lot here to see and enjoy. There's a small Easter Egg that gave me no small amount of joy to include. Given the sheer amount of enemies and bosses in Hollow Knight, we narrowed it down to some of John's favourites, including the Mantis Lords at the top, Grimm of the Grimm Troupe, one of the Watcher Knights, and then a few of the more common bugs seems around Hallownest. Finally, as a framing device, we've used the rough shape of a Great Wyrm's horns on either side as well as the three masks of the Dreamers.

I hope you all enjoy! It was a challenging piece and I'm thrilled I had the opportunity to tattoo some Hollow Knight stuff again. Big thanks to John for an awesome concept and for sitting like a rock through some long days.

Legend of Zelda nature scene for Alex. The Hylian symbol on the shoulder and the bass clef on the bicep were both existing tattoos that I incorporated into this piece. A very fun challenge and a great opportunity to practice some painterly rendering throughout. Also, possibly the most green I've ever put into one tattoo, at least since the Pan-inspired faun I did in 2023.

Nightblood from Warbreaker and other Brandon Sanderson stories for Brooke! This is a sentient blade tasked with "destroying evil" but unfortunately, being a sword, has no real concept of what evil really is, so defaults on destroying whatever its blade touches (while also killing the wielder if left unsheathed for too long). The magic system in Warbreaker is represented through color (aka Breath), and Nightblood is described as a pitch black blade that absorbs all color from the wielder, leaving them grey and lifeless.

Brooke and I had a lovely day chatting about all things nerdy while we forged this color-eating blade on their leg. I hadn't read any Sanderson stuff before Brooke recommended Warbreaker and I really enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to delving into Stormlight Chronicles next. Thanks for an awesome idea, I'm super pumped with how it came out!

Justice tarot card but make it Batman! A big thank you to Yasmin for a really cool idea and giving me creative freedom with the piece. I really loved playing with the contrast between the relative simplicity of Batman's silhouette with the detail in Lady Justice. I always love getting to tattoo Batman, and this was a really cool opportunity to pack a lot of Gotham imagery into one piece.

ONE PIECE half sleeve all finished for RJ. I had so much fun creating this piece, thank you friend for continuing to provide me the sickest opportunities for rad tattoos.

Depicted here are: Luffy and Gol D. Roger on the outer arm, Zoro on the tricep, Sanji on the bicep, and the Thousand Sunny on the inner bicep rounding things out. There's tons of details and hidden treasures throughout, including a ton of what we decided to dub "tragedy panels". How does such an upbeat anime consistently have such intense moments? Trust in Oda-sensei I guess.

Swipe to the very end for a little tribute to the world of One Piece in as simple terms as one can get, and placed in the goofiest way in connection to the bigger piece (the video really shows that off)

The bulk of the tattoo is healed, some fresh filler elements here and there along with some minor touchups smoothing out a couple areas. I really couldn't be happier with how this one turned out. Thank you, RJ!

Happy 2025! Last year was filled with a ton of tattooing and some travelling too. I am endlessly grateful for all the amazing clients I've had the pleasure to work with in 2024 and now into 2025. You guys make it possible for me to do what I love and I really can't thank you enough.

Featured here are mostly finished pieces, there's so many more in the works that I can't wait to share when they're further along. These are also just a small sampling of the variety of projects I've gotten to do, I'd be here for another year picking out all the photos I'd want to share.

Thanks again to @crownandfeathertattoo for giving me the opportunity to work alongside some truly wonderful, skilled tattoo artists. They may not be able to draw Garfield from memory in 1 minute, but they have my love and respect all the same ❤️

Majora's Mask add-on for Vincent! Thank you for a great project, it was really fun adding on to the Skull Kid (not done by me, really well done tattoo). Three sessions, one for lines + black shading, 2 for color rendering. Deku Link, Zora Link, and part of Young Link + the white outlines and background colors are fresh, the rest is healed.

In progress Blue Eye Samurai forearm wrap for Andi. We only have to hit the colors in Mizu next time and then this one's all done! It's been a fun challenge doing this piece with more of an environment adding context to the character. Can't wait to post the final result, this project has been so much fun, thank you as always Andi!!!

The final day of the Philly tattoo convention was a ton of fun, I'm so grateful to the team at @crownandfeathertattoo for making the experience such a positive one. A big thank you to all of you who came out to say hello and roll some dice (either for fun or to get a tattoo as well), it was truly heartwarming to have some lovely conversations with folks passionate about tattoos, gaming, and assorted nerdy stuff.

These last two dice were super fun, the mimic was a full random roll (Mimic + black and grey + a natty 1) for Bill, a long time DnD veteran and a super chill dude, and then a (mostly) randomly rolled d20 (Fancy + tropical + eye) for Bethany, a big Baldur's Gate 3 fan, which we love.

Eight dice over 3 days and all unique to the individual whether through player choice or trusting the fate bestowed by the Dice Gods. This is really the only repeatable flash I do at the moment and I love that they never come out exactly the same, it definitely keeps it exciting for me. I'm stoked to continue making these as time goes on. Who knows, I may have to add on some additional options for Roll for Flash 2nd Edition!

Made some progress on Prottay's Berserk lower leg wrap, tons of shading left to do, but man is it satisfying. I really wanted to approach the shading style as close to Kentaro Miura's ink work, teeny tiny lines to create texture and movement within a brain melting level of detail. Stuff like this is always a labor of love and I'm very grateful to have projects as intense as this. More to come, thanks Prottay!
