Chapter VI: The Obscuritea flower—a crucial plant in my series. It’s used to brew tea and create ink. However, only an Obscuritea plant inhabited by a shadow spirit can produce the special ink needed to draft sigils capable of altering the structure of reality itself.

This piece, ‘The Wandering House,’ features a spirit that has chosen to possess a house—a shapeless being capable of inhabiting objects or even other creatures. Once a house is possessed, it takes on a life of its own, becoming incredibly sought after for its unique abilities. These sentient houses are often hunted down and tamed by the House Hunting Society, a group that captures and sells them to the highest bidder.

In my story, Emha—my main character—was once a part of this society but chose to leave, unable to accept their methods. Her journey with the tea house reflects her quest to create a different path, one built on trust and mutual respect.

I’m so so excited! to dedicate myself to expanding The Haunted Tea House through narrative flash tattoos in the coming year.
