Tattooed Taurus warrior queen with May birth flowers! This was a fun rendition. Not just because I LOVE to do a warrior queen of any kind , but because it was so great to see this customer again after a couple years of her working travels elsewhere! It is no secret that I have a genuine and special affinity for those born under the horned astrological sign. It’s true! A substantial number of my most favorite people throughout my lifetime have birthdays within the same 2 weeks! I naturally find Taurus’ hilarious and gravitate to them like a moth to flame. SO, having a Taurus in my chair always makes my day! There are some other star signs I naturally love and some that I know right away are going to be a challenge. Astrology has always interested me. 1901 Indian emblem with some added tribal elements for core framing. I love the colors on this one, that gradient of purple to mint is one I use a lot- those cool colors just creep in everywhere! I don’t know much about motorcycles, but my mom rides small ones that are just her size - adorable! One of my stepmoms rode too - a trike which my dad had had made for her. We were in an accident on that trike when I was in grade school. In the accident I got an arm fracture, and the blame. That blame has incessantly followed me and has been the source of way too many family fights throughout my life. Despite my early woes I always thought I would ride. I had a little Honda Elite scooter in high school that I LOVED and of course my motorcycle momma, but I never learned to ride. I like to think now that not learning saved me from having it taken away, but I really think I would have loved to have learned. Now…it would definitely have to be a trike or have a sidecar for Tim! Clearly, tattoos can evoke a multitude of memories and feelings. Not only for the bearer but also the practitioner and for every other onlooker…forever. Lions forge their paths when the males mature enough to leave home and join another pride to compete for control of them and defend their territory. This customer is a traveling construction worker who wanted to add to his current script tattoo. Hopefully this lion will give him strength in his adventures and help him remember that home sometimes changes but if he keeps himself strong he can have pride wherever he goes! He had to stop for the day at this point but we got a great first session in. The plan is to finish up in a couple of months when he is due to return and have more time! I LOVE doing animal tattoos!!
