Finally, I have a bit of a better period, and I am hoping it will stick with me for now. My mental state is still like a time bomb; I never know when my anxiety will go off the charts again, but I am trying my best to keep cool. I am just trying not to think too much about the things that are triggering me and take one day at a time. My productivity is still very low, and I don’t do much with my creativity, but I am grateful I can enjoy the time and am learning that sometimes it’s good just to enjoy the moments of laziness and not feel guilty for it. I can say I am taking the whole experience as a lesson. I am definitely learning many things from this period, and I think the most important one is learning how to enjoy the moment, even though my mind is trying to make plans every day. I was taught always to think about the future, always be prepared for the next step, and have a plan. Now, I am just trying to be present. For someone with anxiety, this is very hard. As they say: people with depression live in the past, and those with anxiety live in the future. The unknown is very scary for me. It’s so hard to accept not being in control, and giving birth is something you never know how it will go, even though you can prepare as hard as you can.
