CASTING CALL: Breast Cancer Survivors for a News Channel Interview

Hello friends, im seeking a courageous breast cancer survivor to participate in an upcoming news segment.
This will explore the transformative power of mastectomy tattoos and their role in the healing journey.

I’m looking for an individual who is comfortable being interviewed and filmed during a tattoo session at my private studio @blackrabbittattoolangley , in Langley, WA.

Empowering women to heal and reclaim their bodies through tattooing 💓

I believe that tattoos can be a powerful tool for self-expression and healing, especially for women who have undergone breast cancer surgery. That’s why I Love creating beautiful, meaningful pieces that help women feel confident and whole again.

In this article for South Whidbey Record, I shared my own story and how I came to specialize in this type of projects. I also shared the story of one of my clients, TJ, a brave woman who got a tattoo to commemorate her recovery from breast cancer.

We did it! Finished backpiece for Selina, this was my first back piece finished at @blackrabbittattoolangley ✨She visited me for a consultation, with a loose idea of having a Goddess, in connection with nature and Cosmos. We came up with her ✨

I have spent one year tattooing in Seattle. I sold most of my belongings, shoved everything in my car and I off. Filled with mixed emotions, those that stood out the most were the feelings of excitement and relief. This was a new chapter in my life.

Recently I made a very unexpected quick trip back to Chattanooga. Exactly a year since I’ve been back. I was very overwhelmed with my situation. But had returning clients who expressed how happy they were to see me. I didn’t realize the impression had I left. I was able to compare the work I did when I was an apprentice to now. I’ve grown so much. There were moments where I was left saying “wow, I did that!” And clients responding with joy “yeah you did!”

I left and came back to Seattle with brighter eyes and some new perspective.
There are moments where I still can’t believe that I am here.

Y’all have really kept me afloat leaving and coming back to Chattanooga. It gave me opportunity to reflect and see the growth I have made in one year. Y’all will always have a special place in my heart.
