When Alex came to us, she wanted to cover up more than just a tattoo — she wanted to cover up a painful reminder of a dark chapter. In October 2023, Alex left an abusive relationship and began a journey of healing. But on her ankle remained a constant reminder — a tattoo of her abuser’s initials. As Alex described it, it was “a permanent reminder of the pain and trauma I endured.”

JD turned that painful memory into a powerful reminder that growth can follow even the darkest storms. With black and gray flowers — symbols of rebirth, renewal, and beauty — JD helped Alex reclaim her story.

As Alex put it, “I believe this tattoo would be the last step in my recovery.” We’re honored to have been part of that step and wish her endless strength and beauty ahead. 🌸
