Time off at the moment is giving me a great chance to reflect on some old shots I never posted while I was too caught up in how time consuming being a tattooist is. I’m grateful for any moments of a rest period, to let the creative process catch up again, bringing back with it an appreciation for a craft that takes a serious amount of patience, perseverance and resilience to execute.

I have a stack of folders filled with a print of every single tattoo I’ve ever made - I’d love to sort through them one day out of curiosity and count up how many mandalas I’ve tattooed. Where patterns are more universal and transferable between designs, I create every single mandala from scratch for each individual appointment to ensure they are always unique and personal. I’ll often design this immediately after reading through previous email exchanges with a client, while I’ve got a part of their energy in my focus, to try and encapsulate a design that will resonate on a deeper level.

Back to it again soon - refreshed and ready to tackle a few new large-scale projects! November and December are packed full of really cool concepts that I can’t wait to get into to round out the year. 2025 is already starting to take shape too. Super excited to meet you all, or see some of you again, and ink in something permanently awesome.

I had the pleasure of spending 4 days with Madyson working on this sleeve recently. We started with a single session (the outer forearm patterns and most of the elbow mandala) and then came back the next week to round out the sleeve in 3 consecutive days.
Looking forward to seeing this back in again soon for a quick touchup session and some healed shots!

Chest coverup running into a half sleeve.
2 sessions are a couple of weeks healed (one of those sessions through a power outage - thank you battery-operated wireless tattooing) and a third session to get it all closed off.
Really appreciate your commitment and for coming through the studio Tom!

Work in progress coverup chest almost there. Arm left of the photo was 4 days, healed from 2023. Arm right of the photo was 3 days, healed from December. Thanks for your time and commitment Ethan, been awesome to work with you!
