A godforsaken flippin Heron for actual angel on earth Katie.*

One of my absolute favourite birds, if you’ve been in to the studio you will have seen one I painted on the wall so I could look at it from my chair. I have one that graces my garden, and they also penetrate my dreams. I loved making this.

*Not sure why all that religious imagery ended up in my first sentence , and I will unpack it later.

Buffy Helmetcrest Hummingbird resting on its favourite nectar source, Espeletia - for Ed!

These burbs are literally only found on an active volcano in the Colombian Andes - it was really lovely to focus on a bird and flora so different to the ones in my back garden. No shade to you wood pigeons, you’re great, love you.
