You don’t have to understand someone’s pain, struggle, or story to be a decent fucking human being. You don’t need a deep-ass explanation to justify treating someone with kindness. That’s where so many people fuck up…they think they need to “get it” before they can show compassion. But that’s bullshit. Kindness isn’t a puzzle to be solved. It’s a choice. It’s grace. It’s recognizing that every single person you cross paths with is fighting a battle you know nothing about. And even if you did know? That still wouldn’t make kindness any more or less necessary. So stop overcomplicating shit. Stop acting like someone has to deserve kindness before you give it. Just be fucking kind. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when you don’t understand. Even when it feels like they don’t “deserve” it…because let’s be real, we’ve all had moments when we weren’t at our best and needed someone’s grace instead of their judgment.
