A large dragon torso tattoo for my brother @davies_seb over four sessions. Thankyou for getting such a cool design! In my opinion this is one of the best dragon tattoo designs out there. I referenced the design from the dragon tattoo on the chest of a Mr De Bathe. The tattoo was originally applied by Sutherland Macdonald; you can see the reference photo (c1905) I used for my version on the third slide. For any further reading on Sutherland and early 20th century British tattooing, I highly reccomend the book ‘Pioneers of British Tattooing’ published recently by @scottishtattoohistory
