•MEET JESSIE• •OWNER & RESIDENT ARTIST• • @jsilvatattoos • •Jessica Silva is from a small town on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She has always been interested in art, ranging from drawing and painting to metalworking and 3-D design. While attending Coastal Carolina University, she pursued an apprenticeship under her stepfather and mentor. Upon completion of her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Studio and a minor in Art History, she began her tattooing career full time in January of 2011 at her parents’ tattoo studio, Hole in the Wall Tattoo. After 7 incredible years of building relationships and friendships with an amazing clientele and getting the privilege of working alongside her parents, her and her husband of 14 years moved to the upstate to pursue his PhD, and her dreams of opening her own tattoo studio. In 2017, Just Another Hole in the Wall Tattoo was opened, alongside her sister, in homage to their parents who pioneered the way. In 2018, her and her husband welcomed their daughter, Leena, to the world and she continues to keep them on their toes with all her love and energy. As of April 2023, Jessica was fortunate enough to purchase her very own building and expand the studio to house some of the most incredible women and tattoo artists she knows. Fortunate to have had the pleasure of apprenticing 4 artists so far, she is grateful of the opportunity to watch them grow and thrive in their own tattoo careers. Specializing in color and black and grey realism, she loves the daily challenge of creating a piece of art for someone that they can be proud of for the rest of their lives.
