PRINCE BUSTER Grateful to put this giant tattoo on my great friend and talented tattooer @garden.wolf I recreated the famous lithograph “Prince Buster” by the one and only Don Ed Hardy. I was lucky enough to purchase one from Ed while tattooing at the Bay Area Tattoo Expo around 15/16 years ago. I had just opened @hotstufftattoo and I was broke and had zero appointments for the convention. I knew that I had to have it, but I didn’t have enough money to buy it. Luckily @brianbruno was there to encourage my purchase and lend me the money to solidify the deal. When I walked back to my booth, there was a line of people waiting to get tattooed, and I was able to pay Brian back within hours. This piece of art went on to symbolize the karmic waves of tattooing and helped shape my ways of conducting business. If you want tattooing to be good to you, you have to be good to it first.
